​I am making a Souls-Like Combat Prototype, aiming to prove that satisfying melee combat can be achieved with minimal development resources, and no prior experience. This is my final year university project (FYP) and I may continue development after.

[Summer Project]

Kardtana is a first-person, card-slicing, 'gambling' roguelike. Slicing through cards adds them to the player's deck to make various poker hands, for a big money cashout. ​Each round there is a new quota to meet, failing to do so results in the ending of the run.

10 years later, and seeking revenge, you must plunder various sea monsters, selling their parts to upgrade your ship. All in hopes of finding and defeating the monster that nearly took your life!

// Short Summary //

Hi, I'm Oliver! I'm a 22 year old games design student at Staffordshire University London. I'm in my third year, and am looking to join the games industry as a Technical/Game Designer.​​

​

My objective is to improve the development pipeline between the designers and the programmers. When in the player's hands, I want the game to feel the best possible way it could have, and I believe I have to skills to help any studio achieve this.

 

My favourite games include Monster Hunter World and Elden Ring. However, putting video games aside, I do have other interests too! I absolutely love playing football; more than anything it is about being part of a close and hard-working team.
